"Kourabies Ellinikos Kafes", Greek Shortbread Almond Cookies with Greek Coffee

Greek coffee with its particular aroma and slightly acidic taste, gives an interesting, modern twist to our classic Kourabies. Balancing its sweetness with the distinctive flavor of coffee, while adding the discreet taste of almonds, we have created an ideal accompaniment not only to coffee or tea, but also to an alcoholic drink.

Many regions claim the origin of the recipe and every place has its own version, which it proudly passes on from generation to generation.

Our culinary journey through Greece in search of the recipe that would form the basis of our own, inevitably led us to the port of Kavala. Many consider the recipe from Kavala to be the “authentic” one and it is certainly the most famous and widespread of all.
