Organic Rose Wine PGI form Kos 750ML

$49

Rose from Kos Grenache Rouge • Syrah | PGI

A vibrant Mediterranean rosé crafted from Grenache Rouge and Syrah, expressing the sun-drenched character of limestone-rich soils and carefully nurtured vines averaging 17 years of age.

Planted in sandy, light soils derived from parent limestone, the vineyard is cultivated under dedicated bio-agricultural practices, currently progressing through organic certification. Every decision in the vineyard focuses on balance, biodiversity, and preserving the natural ecosystem.

Harvested between 10–13 August, the grapes are vinified with precision and matured for 2–3 months on fine lees in stainless steel tanks, with periodic bâtonnage. This technique enhances texture and aromatic complexity while maintaining the wine’s fresh, lively profile.

At 13% alcohol, with bright acidity (5.8 g/L), low residual sugar (2.2 g/L), and a pH of 3.34, this rosé is beautifully balanced, crisp yet textured, refreshing yet structured.

In the Glass

Delicate pale salmon in colour, with lifted aromas of wild strawberry, pomegranate and subtle citrus zest. Grenache contributes bright red fruit and elegance, while Syrah adds gentle spice and structure. The palate is fresh and refined with a clean, dry finish that lingers softly.

Ageing Potential

Nestled at the foothills of Mount Dikaios in the area of Miniera, Asfendiou, the estate benefits from clay-rocky soils, sea breezes and abundant Aegean sunshine, ideal conditions for producing expressive, character-driven wines.

Established in the early 2000s and welcoming visitors since 2004, Ktima Akrani was created with a clear vision: to revive and elevate the winemaking tradition of Kos while embracing modern techniques and sustainable vineyard practices. The estate spans approximately 15 hectares, cultivating both indigenous and international grape varieties with careful attention to low yields and optimal ripeness.
