Ktima Akrani
White Wine Blend Assyritko + Athiri from Kos 750ML
Assyrtiko 50% + Athiri 50% White Wine Blend
A beautifully balanced island white that captures the sun, sea breeze and limestone soils of the Dodecanese.
This blend brings together Athiri’s gentle aromatics and roundness with Assyrtiko’s signature minerality and vibrant acidity, creating a wine that is both expressive and structured.
The vines, averaging 14 years of age, are planted in sandy, light soils derived from parent limestone. Cultivation follows strict bio-agricultural practices, with the vineyard currently undergoing organic certification, a testament to the producer’s commitment to ecosystem health and sustainable viticulture.
Athiri is harvested early (5–10 August) to preserve freshness and aromatic lift, while Assyrtiko is picked later (27–30 August) at full phenolic maturity, adding depth and precision.
The wine matures for 2–3 months on fine lees in stainless steel tanks, with periodic bâtonnage. This technique enhances texture and complexity while maintaining purity and crispness.
At 13.5% alcohol, with bright acidity (5.6 g/L), low residual sugar (2.4 g/L) and a lively pH of 3.28, the result is a dry, vibrant and gastronomic white.
