The Greek Islands Cookbook- Carolina Doriti
A vibrant celebration of island life, tradition, and the timeless appeal of Mediterranean cuisine. Known for its freshness, simplicity, and soulfulness, Greek food is one of the world’s most loved — and in this book, Carolina captures the essence of that love affair with recipes and stories straight from the islands themselves.
Greek cuisine evokes sunshine, sea breezes, and long, joyful meals with family and friends. It’s food that feels abundant and generous, yet wholesome and rooted in the land. In The Greek Islands Cookbook, Carolina brings that world to life, offering a rich collection of over 80 recipes that reflect the diverse flavors and seasonal ingredients found across the Greek archipelago.
From iconic island dishes like tomato fritters from Santorini and slow-roasted lamb with herbs from Naxos, to refreshing summer staples like watermelon salad with feta and mint or fluffy pancakes drizzled with Greek yogurt, figs, and cinnamon, every recipe is infused with authenticity and a deep respect for Greece’s culinary heritage. There are also lesser-known regional gems, passed down through generations, offering a window into the unique food culture of each island.
Accompanied by stunning photography that captures both the dishes and the dreamlike beauty of the islands—whitewashed villages, olive groves, fishing boats, and sun-drenched tables—this book is more than just a cookbook. It’s a heartfelt travelogue, a tribute to Greek island life, and an invitation to experience the magic of Mediterranean cooking at home.
Whether you’re craving a nostalgic taste of a past holiday or dreaming of your first visit, The Greek Islands Cookbook will inspire you to bring a little Greek sunshine into your kitchen—one simple, delicious dish at a time.
