I’dHow to Liquefy Mastic Oil
If your mastic oil has become thick, cloudy or crystallised, don’t worry, this is completely natural.
Mastic oil contains natural resin from the mastic tree, which can thicken or solidify when exposed to cooler temperatures. A little gentle warmth is all it needs to return to a smooth, liquid consistency.
Simply follow these steps:

Secure the lid
Make sure the bottle is tightly closed so that no water can get inside. -
Prepare a warm water bath
Fill a bowl or mug with warm tap water. Avoid boiling or very hot water, as excessive heat isn’t necessary. -
Warm the bottle gently
Place the closed bottle into the warm water and leave it for approximately 5–10 minutes. -
Give it a good shake
Remove the bottle, dry it off and shake well. This will help the softened mastic resin blend evenly back through the oil. -
Repeat if necessary
If the oil is still a little thick or you can see some crystallisation, simply refresh the warm water and repeat for another few minutes.
Once warmed, your mastic oil will return to its beautifully smooth, liquid consistency.
Please note: Thickening or crystallisation is a natural characteristic of genuine mastic resin and does not mean there is anything wrong with the product.
