About the Author:
Irene Matys is a Cypriot-born recipe developer, food stylist, and passionate advocate for seasonal, local, and sustainable cooking. After immigrating to Canada as a child, she reconnected with her roots through food that celebrates both heritage and homegrown produce.
Her work has been featured in The Globe and Mail, Food Network Canada, CTV’s The Social, and Canadian Living. Irene also partners closely with farmers and local producers, championing ethical sourcing and community-driven cuisine.
