Meet the Author – Christos Vergados
Born in Sparta, Greece, Christos Vergados grew up surrounded by the world of sweets, as his family owned a patisserie in his hometown. It was no surprise that he developed a deep passion for pastry-making. He trained at the prestigious ENSP (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Pâtisserie) in France under renowned chefs Yves Thuries and Alain Ducasse.
Christos has honed his craft through seminars across Greece and abroad, mastering techniques in sugar art, caramel, chocolate, and wedding cakes. His innovative creations, such as the *Sweet Fashion* series—featuring edible garments—have captivated audiences worldwide, including on French TV and in Montreal, Canada.
He has served as pastry chef in Michelin-starred restaurants, consulted for international brands, and has been sharing his expertise as an instructor for over 15 years at Greece’s largest culinary institute. His first book, The Sweet School of Pastry, became a bestseller and won a readers' award in the lifestyle category.
