Little hands, big adventures in the kitchen!

Introduce your little ones to the wonderful world of cooking with Mum, I’m Cooking for Picnics and Snacks!, a delightful Greek-language children’s cookbook inspired by the Montessori method of learning.

Designed especially for children aged 3 years and over, this beautifully illustrated book encourages young chefs to discover the joy of preparing their own delicious snacks and picnic treats, building confidence, independence and practical life skills along the way.

With easy-to-follow recipes, colourful photographs and clever illustrations, children can explore the kitchen and follow each step even before they have learned to read.

Forget complicated measurements and kitchen scales! Using simple cups, spoons and containers, little cooks learn how to measure, mix and prepare food in a fun, hands-on way.

The book even includes educational stickers to help children recognise ingredients and organise their cooking supplies, making the experience even more engaging.

Creating Memories in the Kitchen

At The Greek Providore, we believe some of the most beautiful childhood memories are made in the kitchen.

Whether it’s helping mum prepare an afternoon snack, measuring ingredients alongside yiayia or packing something homemade for a family picnic, cooking brings generations together.

Mum, I’m Cooking for Picnics and Snacks! is a wonderful way to introduce children to the joy of food while encouraging independence, curiosity and confidence.

It’s also a lovely opportunity for Greek-speaking families in Australia to incorporate the Greek language into everyday activities, helping little ones connect with their heritage through something as universal and enjoyable as cooking.

A thoughtful gift for budding little chefs, curious minds and families who love sharing food, laughter and traditions.

About the Authors – Katia Casprini & Roberta Guidotti

Katia Casprini and Roberta Guidotti are two Italian mothers, creative professionals and the talented minds behind the cookbooks.

Both based in Tuscany, Italy, they share a passion for creativity, hands-on learning and encouraging children to discover the world through everyday experiences.

Katia Casprini is a graphic designer and videomaker with a love for creative activities, while Roberta Guidotti is an advertising graphic designer and mother of twins who enjoys spending time playing and cooking with her children.

Drawing inspiration from their own experiences as mothers, they combined their professional design skills with their love of family cooking to create a unique collection of Montessori-inspired cookbooks.

Their philosophy is beautifully simple: children learn best when they are encouraged to explore, experiment and do things for themselves.

Through clever visual instructions, colourful photographs and easy-to-follow recipes, their books allow even the youngest children to develop independence and confidence in the kitchen, long before they have learned to read.

Mum, I’m Cooking for Picnics and Snacks! continues this philosophy, transforming everyday food preparation into an exciting opportunity for children to learn, create and enjoy the satisfaction of making something themselves.
