Greek Olive Wood Olive Wood Spoon

Beautiful handmade olive wood cooking spoon from the enchanting village of Rizes, nestled in the eastern reaches of Arcadia, Greece. This idyllic agricultural village, surrounded by abundant olive groves, breathes life into these meticulously crafted pieces.

Immerse yourself in the story of resilience and sustainability as these spoons are born from the weathered olive trees that have stood for over 200 years. Sourced from fallen olive wood, each piece is a testament to nature's artistry and the skilled hands of local artisans who transform them into timeless treasures.

Indulge in the unique character of your spoon, as no two pieces share the same wood grain. Every swirl and pattern tells a story of its own, making your spoon a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

To preserve its natural beauty, we recommend a gentle application of olive oil to enrich and protect the wood, ensuring it ages gracefully and retains its captivating charm.

Great wooden spoon

Great spoon, lovely weight to it. Feels very robust and love the unique pattern of the wood. In saying that, the spoon I received does have a knot/defect right in the middle of the well. I'm hoping if I keep it well oiled it should be fine.

Thank you so much for your lovely review and for appreciating the weight and unique character of the olive wood!

Regarding the knot in the middle of the spoon’s well—this is actually a natural feature of olive wood. Each piece is completely unique, and knots are part of the wood’s organic beauty and individuality. They don’t affect the spoon’s durability, especially if, as you mentioned, you keep it well-oiled. With a little care, it should serve you beautifully for years to come.

We’re so glad you’re enjoying it!
