Straight from the pistachio groves of Avlonas, Attica, these exceptional Greek pistachios are grown and harvested by agronomist George Graigos, whose decades of experience and dedication to pistachio cultivation can be tasted in every handful.

Harvested at the end of the Greek summer when the nuts have reached just the right stage of ripeness, they are carefully hulled, dried and sorted before being lightly roasted and finished with fine-grain salt. The result is beautifully crunchy, aromatic pistachios with a perfectly balanced saltiness that enhances, rather than overpowers, their naturally rich flavour.

These are the kind of pistachios made for a Greek table, crack one open and before you know it, the bowl is empty. Serve them alongside an ouzo, tsipouro or cold beer, add them to a grazing platter, or simply enjoy them straight from the shell.

About The Producer

Behind GRECHIO are Giorgos Graigos and Vasiliki Graigou, and a story deeply rooted in Greek agriculture, family and the land.

Their journey began in 1993 in Avlonas, Attica, when agronomist Giorgos Graigos established his agricultural business. Over more than three decades, Giorgos has worked closely with growers and developed extensive knowledge and expertise in the cultivation of pistachios.

Together, Giorgos and Vasiliki have carried that experience forward, combining generations of agricultural knowledge with a passion for showcasing the exceptional produce of their region.

GRECHIO is a natural extension of that journey, taking carefully grown Greek pistachios from the fields of Avlonas and sharing them beyond Greece.

It is a story of family, provenance and respect for the land. From cultivation and harvest through to the finished product, there are real people behind every packet and decades of knowledge behind every pistachio. It isn’t simply a product from Greece; it is the work of a Greek family, their land and a lifetime devoted to agriculture,  now brought to Australia for you to enjoy.
